Jeevadaan is a care and support centre for people living with HIV/AIDS established by the Society of Daughters of St.Camillus on 2nd February 2004 to provide care and support for HIV/AIDS infected and abandoned women and girl children. Jeevadaan is their only ray of hope. They know that their life is short and society will not accept them as they are infected by the dreaded HIV/AIDS virus. They also have no money to live independently and lack the strength to work hard. But Jeevadaan has created a space for them to live a decent life till their death. (www.jeevadan.com)

World Water Day takes place each year on March 22nd, and seeks to underline the importance of water. The lack of clean water around the world, alongside the damaging effects of global warming, water pollution and damaged water tables, is more important to understand than ever.
The initiative is spearheaded by the UN, alongside UNESCO, the World Water Council and the WWF, and aims to ensure that everyone in the world has access to safe water by 2030, while minimizing the impact to the environment.

World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) shines a spotlight on the hurdles that people with autism, and those with autism, face every day. A growing global health issue, autism is an issue that is only gaining more understanding – and WAAD activities are planned every year to further increase and develop world knowledge of, as well as celebrate the talents of children and adults who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

World Health Day 2019 falls midway between the Global Conference on Primary Health Care held in Astana, Kazakhstan in October 2018 and the High-level Meeting on universal health coverage to be held at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2019. The Day is one of many opportunities to communicate about the importance of equity in health-care services, for not only the health of individuals, but also for the health of economies and society at large.

Stop Food Waste Day is an international day of action in the fight against food waste which is a serious and growing problem. On 24 April 2019 consumers, corporate partners and influencers globally will raise awareness of the critical food waste problem in the hopes of inspiring change.
